Description
This entry-level contract position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced medical practice environment while working on-site with experienced professionals.
As a Locum AA you will play a crucial role in supporting anesthesiologists during various surgical procedures. You will assist with patient assessments monitor vital signs and ensure a safe and efficient anesthesia process. This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of care that our facility is known for and you will have the chance to contribute to patient outcomes significantly.
Responsibilities
- Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia and monitoring patients
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and gather patient medical histories
- Monitor patients vital signs throughout the surgical process
- Provide immediate post-anesthesia care and support
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Document patient care and anesthesia procedures accurately
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in anesthesia care
Requirements
- Associates degree or higher in Anesthesia Technology or related field
- Basic understanding of anesthesia procedures and patient care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced medical setting
- Basic certification in CPR or ACLS is preferred
- Availability to work flexible hours and shifts as needed
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7a-5p
No call shifts
Caseload: OB/GYN ortho general urology podiatry and minimal pediatrics; no cardiac neuro or vascular cases
Team Structure: 4 MDs 4 AAs
1:1 medical direction
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
