Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care
- Perform necessary procedures and interventions within scope of practice
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or related field
- Current NP or PA certification and licensure in the state of practice
- Experience in critical care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications
Schedule: 12-hour day and night shifts
No call
Patient Census: 16-20 per day
24-bed ICU
Required Procedures: Intubations central lines and arterial lines
Support Staff: Critical care physician in-house or on call
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
