As a Locum NP or PA in Critical Care you will play a vital role in managing patient care collaborating with healthcare teams and ensuring the highest standards of medical practice. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care
  • Perform necessary procedures and interventions within scope of practice
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing or related field
  • Current NP or PA certification and licensure in the state of practice
  • Experience in critical care settings preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of electronic medical record systems
  • Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications

Schedule: 12-hour day and night shifts

No call

Patient Census: 16-20 per day

24-bed ICU

Required Procedures: Intubations central lines and arterial lines

Support Staff: Critical care physician in-house or on call

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
