Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the vascular surgery department
- Assist surgeons in the operating room
- Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans
- Monitor and manage post-operative patients
- Educate patients and families on vascular health
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately
- Participate in patient rounds and case discussions
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- Current NP or PA certification and licensure
- Experience in vascular surgery or a related field preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Knowledge of relevant medical procedures and protocols
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts 2 weeks per month
No call requirement
Will primarily cover the vascular clinic
Monthly Volume: 8 surgical cases 60 cath lab procedures
Duties: Seeing new and established patients conducting evaluations and treating non-surgical cases
Support Staff: Vascular surgeon
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
