Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical history reviews physical examinations and monitoring of vital signs.
Develop implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams.
Administer medications treatments and therapies in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
Monitor and document patient progress adjusting care plans as needed and reporting changes to supervising clinicians.
Provide patient and family education on disease management preventive care medication adherence and healthy lifestyle practices.
Ensure compliance with infection control policies patient safety standards and national healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with community health workers and local organizations to support outreach programs and public health initiatives.
Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) and documentation in line with institutional and regulatory requirements.
Participate in staff training quality improvement projects and professional development activities.
Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in crisis management during critical patient events.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Valid registration and license to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of Zimbabwe.
25 years of clinical experience in a hospital clinic or community health setting.
Proven experience in patient assessment care planning medication administration and documentation.
Strong knowledge of infection control patient safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
Excellent communication interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Proficiency in electronic health record systems and basic computer applications.
Commitment to continuous learning ethical practice and adherence to professional standards.
Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings weekends and on-call duties as required.
