Business Development Executive (BDE) drives company growth by identifying new market opportunities generating sales leads and building strategic partnerships. They are responsible for nurturing client relationships conducting market research and negotiating contracts to achieve revenue targets. The role often involves collaboration with sales marketing and product teams.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively identify research and reach out to new business leads via cold calls networking and industry events.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term meaningful relationships with new and existing clients to ensure retention and upselling opportunities.
Market Analysis & Strategy: Analyze industry trends competitor activities and market data to develop effective business strategies.
Sales & Negotiation: Present products/services negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
Collaboration & Reporting: Work with marketing and product teams to align strategies and maintain accurate updated client data in CRM systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for client pitching and negotiation.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends and financial data to identify growth opportunities.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong networking abilities to build rapport with prospects and internal stakeholders.
Sales Knowledge: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot) and understanding of the sales funnel.
Resilience & Drive: A results-oriented mindset with the ability to handle rejection and persist in achieving targets.
Typical Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field.
Proven experience in business development sales or a similar role often
