Job Summary

Develop and deliver comprehensive training curricula in mechanical maintenance including preventive predictive and corrective maintenance techniques.
Conduct hands-on workshops and laboratory sessions using real-world equipment and simulation tools.
Assess trainee performance through practical evaluations written exams and project-based assessments.
Maintain up-to-date training materials manuals and safety documentation aligned with international standards (e.g. ISO OSHA API).
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to identify skill gaps and tailor training programs accordingly.
Ensure all training sessions comply with health safety and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior maintenance personnel and trainees.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to training methodologies and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of training attendance outcomes and certification status.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Technology or a related field; vocational certification in mechanical maintenance is highly desirable.
25 years of progressive experience in mechanical maintenance within industrial oil & gas mining or heavy manufacturing environments.
Proven experience in instructional design training delivery and performance evaluation.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps compressors conveyors gears bearings and power transmission.
Proficiency in troubleshooting repair and maintenance of rotating and static equipment.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and maintenance planning tools.
Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills in both English and Portuguese.
Valid certification in safety training (e.g. OSHA 10 NEBOSH or equivalent) is a plus.
Willingness to work in a field-based environment in Angola with potential for travel and remote site deployment.
Ability to adapt training content to diverse learning levels and cultural contexts.
