Job Summary

We are a passionate team of environmental impact assessors working within an organisation creating meaningful change both in Australia and around the globe.  Our team is made up of ten environmental impact assessors and we are looking for a Technical Director to join us and lead environmental impact assessments for projects across renewable energy transmission transport (road/rail/ports/air) water and industrial sectors. Our enviable EIS portfolio includes the first offshore wind farm EIS in Australia; longest road tunnel EIS in Australia and the first place based EIS for an infrastructure project in NSW.   

Join our Sydney IAP team in a senior leadership role where you will set the technical direction build trusted client partnerships and drive growth across sectors such as Energy and Transport. 

How youll make a difference  

  • Act as a senior technical leader and strategic adviser to clients providing clear practical guidance across complex approval pathways. 
  • Take accountability for the performance growth and ongoing development of the Sydney EIA team. 
  • Lead and deliver major projects from pursuit to completion including shaping bids winning work and positioning the team for what comes next. 
  • Strengthen capability across the group by mentoring consultants and lifting technical and commercial confidence. 
  • Apply deep knowledge of State and Commonwealth EIA requirements while balancing risk programme and client outcomes.

  • Proven experience delivering environmental projects in NSW and strong understanding of the relevant planning and approval pathways 
  • Ability to take on Project Director responsibilities managing scope schedule budget and risk 
  • Growing or established leadership capability with a track record of guiding teams and supporting others 
  • Strong technical foundation ideally with REP accreditation or progress towards it supported by relevant tertiary qualifications
