Job Summary

Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle & Transport Coordination

Identify and hire trucks as per daily operational requirements.
Maintain relationships with transporters to ensure competitive rates and vehicle availability.
Track and monitor truck arrivals and departures to ensure on-time performance.

2. Loading & Despatch Support

Coordinate with the despatch and loading teams to ensure correct stock is loaded according to the delivery plan.
Verify documentation such as delivery challans invoices and gate passes before vehicle dispatch.

3. Sales & Order Coordination

Liaise with the sales team to understand daily order priorities.
Ensure stock allocation is done in alignment with customer requirements and delivery deadlines.

4. Route Optimization

Plan and assign routes for delivery vehicles to maximize efficiency and reduce fuel and time costs.
Monitor delivery schedules and adjust plans in case of route delays or unforeseen disruptions.

5. Stock Allocation & Inventory Support

Allocate stock based on availability demand and order priority.
Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure FIFO (First In First Out) is maintained.

6. Reporting & Compliance

Maintain accurate transport and dispatch records.
Track logistics KPIs such as truck utilization delivery lead time and cost per trip.
Ensure compliance with all safety legal and company policies.

Key Skills:

Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in dispatch documentation and stock allocation.
Problem-Solving: Quickly resolves transport delays vehicle breakdowns or stock shortages.
Coordination Skills: Works seamlessly with multiple teams (sales warehouse transporters).
Cost Awareness: Focused on reducing transportation costs without compromising service quality.

Key Qualifications:

Diploma/Degree in Logistics Supply Chain or a related field.
2 4 years of experience in logistics operations or transport coordination.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in route planning tools MS Excel and ERP systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
