Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Area Supervisor the Facilities Staff at the YMCA of Central Massachusetts create a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while in the performance of cleaning and general maintenance activities.

This is a summer seasonal position with a start date of June 15th going through August 23rd. Shifts will be between the hours of 11:30am to 7:30pm Sunday-Saturday. Please let us know your availability when filling out your application!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for overall maintenance and cleaning of City of Worcester Beach and/or Pool facilities and grounds; restrooms changing areas storage areas lifeguard area and the grounds within the fenced-in area around each facility.
Tasks include but are not limited to trash disposal dispenser filling toilet and sink cleaning raking the beach hosing down the deck and other general maintenance tasks.
Monitor gate numbers of Patrons.
Report statistics to Area Supervisor.
Boating Facilities duties as assigned.
Follow safety regulations in accordance with the YMCA of Central MA City of Worcester OSHA and the Model Aquatic Health Code.
Report any problems repairs or supplies to Area Supervisor or Director.
Works at any 5 assigned locations as needed
Responsible for end-of-day closure and next-day preparation.
Receives and carries out instructions
Maintain a professional appearance at all times; wear clothing that meets the YMCA dress code.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

General knowledge of custodial/maintenance procedures.
Ability to follow directions work with minimal supervision follow a schedule and complete tasks in a timely manner
At least 18yrs of age
Must have a reliable means of transportation

Job Type: Seasonal

Schedule: 30-40 hours per week between the hours of 11:30am - 7:30pm Sunday-Saturday

Pay: $19.00/hr for new hires and $20.00/hr for returning staff. Plus benefits include access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees Employee Assistance Program & Sick Leave.
