headspace Esperance provides youth-friendly early intervention mental health and wellbeing services for young people aged 12 to 25. Our multidisciplinary team supports young people across mental health physical and sexual health alcohol and other drug services and work and study support.

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly organised and values-driven Receptionist to join our headspace Esperance team on a full-time permanent basis.

As the first point of contact for young people families and visitors this role is central to creating a safe welcoming and youth-friendly environment. Youll provide high-quality reception administrative and program support helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre.

This role suits someone who thrives in a busy environment enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about supporting young peoples mental health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional and welcoming reception services to young people families and visitors
  • Managing incoming calls emails appointments and client bookings
  • Supporting clinicians with administrative and program coordination tasks
  • Maintaining office systems supplies records and data entry
  • Assisting with meetings training coordination and internal reporting
  • Supporting Medicare billing MBS claims and client management systems
  • Contributing to community events promotions and engagement activities
  • Upholding confidentiality privacy and compliance requirements

Youll Need

Essential:

  • Experience in an administration or reception role
  • Interest in working with young people in a youth-focused mental health setting
  • Strong organisational time management and multitasking skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence using Windows-based systems (Word Excel data entry)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Experience with Medicare billing and electronic medical records
  • Qualifications in administration business finance or related fields
  • Experience in the not-for-profit public health youth or mental health sectors

Pre-employment requirements:

  • Current C or A Class Drivers Licence
  • Working With Children Check
  • National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
