Be the friendly face of our Maternity Service!
We are seeking a reliable skilled and welcoming Unit Receptionistto join our busy Maternity Ward on a casual leave-relief basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys being the first point of contact for patients families and clinicians.
Shift information:
7:00am 3:00pm
Monday to Saturday (as required)
The successful applicant must be flexible and available to cover annual and sick leaveacross weekdays and Saturdays.
The Position
Welcoming and assisting patients and visitors
Managing appointments and maintaining an efficient waiting room
Acting as the first point of contact for the service
Answering telephone calls promptly and professionally
Providing high-level secretarial and administrative support
Supporting clinicians and allied health professionals
Liaising with hospitals referrers and other healthcare providers
Efficient and confidential management of patient data appointments procedures clinical files correspondence and accounts
Managing incoming and outgoing mail emails and faxes
Maintenance of patient records and files
Additional administrative duties as required
You will have knowledge of medical terminology and experience in the health industry is a must and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
To succeed you will provide an outstanding level of customer service both face-to-face and via telephone supporting families during an important and sensitive time in their care journey.

We can offer you
Salary: $37.94 to $39.03 per hour (includes casual loading) plus 12 % superannuation
Casual position available
