Duties & Responsibilities
A well-established and busy veterinary practice in the Northern Suburbs is seeking a reliable hands-on Receptionist / Administrator to join a small but dedicated team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment enjoys working with people and is confident handling both client-facing duties and administrative responsibilities.
This is a half-day position with a high level of responsibility and exposure.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Front-line reception duties including handling a high volume of telephone calls
- Client liaison and customer service
- Assisting with animals where required including basic care support and helping to keep animal areas organised and calm
- General office and practice administration
- Assisting with basic financial administration
- Supporting the Practice Manager and wider team as needed
- Ad hoc sales-related tasks where required
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator comfortable dealing with a wide variety of clients
- Able to work well under pressure and manage a busy workload
- Computer literate MS Office
- A true team player with a jack-of-all-trades attitude
- Reliable organised and adaptable
WHATS IMPORTANT TO THE CLIENT
- A calm practical and uncomplicated approach to work
- Someone who lives reasonably close to the practice
WORKING HOURS
- Monday Friday 08:00 13:30 OR 13:00 18:00 (alternating shifts)
- Every third Saturday: 08:30 12:00
- Flexibility is essential
SALARY
Negotiable depending on experience
