A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GUEST SERVICE ASSISTANT AT OUR HOTEL

What youll be doing...

  • Provide a warm professional welcome and ensure smooth efficient check-ins and check-outs

  • Support the Reception Manager in the day-to-day leadership of the Reception team

  • Oversee reservations room allocations guest requests and accurate guest records

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries in person by phone and via email

  • Take ownership of guest feedback resolving concerns with empathy and responding to reviews in a timely thoughtful way

  • Liaise closely with Housekeeping Maintenance Food & Beverage and Events to ensure a seamless guest experience

  • Process payments accurately and uphold hotel standards policies and brand values at all times

  • Lead coach and motivate the Guest Services team always leading by example.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Experience in a Front Office or Guest Services leadership role within a hotel environment

  • A welcoming people-focused personality who genuinely enjoys connecting with guests and making their day brighter

  • Strong communication skills confident engaging with guests and working closely with colleagues across the hotel

  • Excellent attention to detail particularly when managing guest needs reservations and follow-up

  • A calm solutions-driven approach with the ability to think on your feet and handle challenges positively

  • A strong team player who is happy to step in wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly

  • High energy and adaptability thriving in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same

  • Flexibility to work shifts including weekends
