Job Summary

HQ PM(A) & 1 MP Bde provides for the functions of Brigade Command Service Advisor and MP Head of Capability which includes RMP MPS and MPGS. The SO1 MPGS is the lead staff officer for MPGS recruitment TRA capability assurance and employment and technical matters. Specific responsibilities include:

1. The senior military lead for the delivery of MPGS Policy Doctrine Capability WfR and Recruitment on behalf of PM(A).
2. Liaison and interaction across Defence inclusive of the sS Front Line Commands for the delivery of functional control of MPGS.
3. The Training Requirements Authority for armed guarding standards in accordance with JSP 440 and 822.
4. Engage with DAR and the LWC for all MPGS recruitment and training.
5. Engage with the APC in the career management of all MPGS soldiers inclusive of MPGS promotion and assignment boards as HoC representative.
6. Delivery of the MPGS Self-Assessment and Assurance Regime (SAAR) in accordance with Army Command Standing Order (ACSO) 9001 and 9025.
7. Support AH MP as chair of the MPGS Strategic WG. Run the MPGS Stakeholders WG and manage MPGS CapDev within the Functional Capability WG.
