Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
Title – BU Head Wires & Switchgear
Location – HO Mumbai
Reporting To – Executive President & Chief Business Officer – Power & FMEG SBU
Qualification
- Full-time Bachelor of Engineering (BE) & Full-time MBA
Core responsibilities
- The Category Head will lead the Wires & Switchgear retail business with complete ownership of strategy growth profitability and execution across India.
- This role requires strong leadership deep category understanding and end-to-end exposure across brand sales supply chain and manufacturing.
- Own and lead the Wires & Switchgear category with P&L responsibility for a 4000 Cr business scaling it to 7000 Cr.
- Define and execute category strategy growth roadmap and long-term business plans.
- Drive market share growth through strong understanding of category dynamics competition and consumer insights.
- Drive product design innovation and new product development aligned with market needs.
- Ensure efficient supply chain planning manufacturing coordination and cost optimization.
- Lead mentor and manage a large team of 500–600 members across functions.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in leading large-scale businesses within Wires Switchgear or Construction Building Material.
- Strong understanding of category management trade marketing brand building sales and innovation.
- Solid knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing operations.
- Prior hands-on experience working in a factory/manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing large teams (500 members) in a complex PAN India role.
- Strong strategic thinking execution excellence and stakeholder management skills.
