Job Purpose
To lead and drive the Linen Fabric Operations function by defining and executing operational strategy and by planning organizing and controlling end-to-end fabric operations to ensure timely delivery of linen fabrics that meet customer requirements for quality and quantity. The role is accountable for achieving predefined production targets within planned cost and realization parameters ensuring safe working practices and optimizing utilization of manpower materials and machine resources to deliver consistent operational performance.

Linen is a Labour intensive natural fibre to manufacture and is difficult to maintain consistent quality parameters. It is necessary to source best of the raw materials and to adapt best manufacturing process and systems to maintain the standards.
There is a scarcity for talents in Indian textile industry to produce this kind of critical fabrics. It is a big challenge for us to search for the talent and to train develop and retain them.
We as a premium supplier of Linen a critical fibre to handle should upgrade ourselves with new technology trends to achieve product excellence at the lowest overall cost.
Being new suppliers coming into the market reviewing & interpreting market expectations and seasonal preferences for developing new product ranges is a big challenge in terms of production without affecting the efficiency or quality of the product as well as the cost effectiveness of production.
To develop and weave finest count product to create entry barrier to keep a void between the new entrants in the high potential linen market.
The Growth plan in fabric production requires technical knowledge with good commercial acumen so as to control the complete supply chain and process effectiveness right from planning of raw materials to delivery of finish fabrics.
The fabric production which has targeted of 90 Lac Meters in 2015-16 has further growth expectations of 15% year on year.
To manage job vendors and to evaluate them periodically to maintain the high standards of the group and take necessary corrective actions as and when required.

Production Planning & control | - Plan and prioritize the activities of weaving processing yarn dyeing and warehouse in coordination with PPC dept
- Identify the area of losses and taking corrective action regularly.
- Analyze review and control production of fabric to achieve highest production efficiencies including machine utilization.
- Explore new ideas and evaluate them for viability to implement in plant to reduce cycle time production cost

Operations | - Weaving: Ensure smooth Weaving operations (Winding Warping Loom shed and Maintenance)
- Dyeing & Processing: Ensure all activities related to dyeing preparatory and finishing section in the dye house and fabric process house within the defined standard of time quality.
- Ware House: Ensure all activities for the inspection mending and packing of fabric in the Finished warehouse creation of samples and rejected good reprocessing.
- Process Control: Ensure and monitor all process controls & parameters in the fabric processing section. Ensure execution of SOPs for new processes as and when required.

Quality | - Analyze and review the quality reports of each section weaving processing yarn dyeing & packing
- Identify & eliminate bottle necks in all activities in the Linen Fabric processes.
- Daily Review of quality of final product and direct corrective actions

Production Safety and Sustainability | - Maintain Waste Intensity Energy Intensity and Water Intensity as per sustainability guidelines
- Implementation of HIRA SOP and maintain good housekeeping & compliance safe working practices in the plant.
- Ensure Safe Working condition and practices in respective area with zero tolerances.

Implementation of WCM and IMS | - Study worlds best manufacturers and compare existing quality system / work practices to analyze the reasons for gaps in quality
- Prepare plan of action and organize trials for improvement in quality levels
- Direct and monitor the implementation of IMS Quality management norms in the Plant

Capability Building | - Motivate and guide team members and create a space for Idea sharing and implementing
- Evaluating performances of sections and Identify training needs for section & work with HR dept for capability development.
- Groom GET/DET in technical aspects and develop talent pipeline
