Position Description
The OEM Business Development Lead role is responsible for supporting sales growth with new and existing customers within the OEM market segment. This includes introducing Carefrees comprehensive awning product offering quoting relevant products and supporting on-site prototype addition the role includes supporting existing OEM customers that demonstrate potential for revenue growth and coordinating technical support to enable that growth. This position reports to the OEM Sales Manager and does not have any direct reports.
Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
Actively participate in the development of an OEM business growth plan.
Discuss customer needs objectives and arrange/support meetings between customers/prospective customers and representatives of various company functional areas including customer events and rallies.
Acting as the primary point person for selected OEM accounts by answering customer inquiries coordinating their needs with Carefree capabilities and scheduling future operational needs.
Prepare quotes to ensure they have the correct prices discounts product numbers quantities and delivery dates that align with Carefree expectations.
Reviewing the daily open order report to identify any past due orders then coordinating resolution with the operations team.
Coordinating a variety of operations and activities between the Broomfield and Elkhart warehouses related to the needs of specified customers.
Supporting Forecasting functions for OEM business
Upon receipt of customer orders collaborating with order entry regarding customer needs/modifications and prototype orders.
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
A bachelors degree in business administration or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
5 years experience in an inside sales business development or sales coordinator role.
Strong administrative organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication sales and customer service skills.
The ability to multitask work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
Solid and proven computer skill set (knowledge of ERP and MS Office is preferred).
Experience working in an administrative support capacity or other directly related experience.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job is based in an office & warehouse environment as well as off-site customer and event locations.
Physical requirements of this role include: walking standing sitting at computer carrying materials and parts to events and customer locations.
Position is expected to travel approximately 20-25% primarily locally (maximum distance 130 miles one way) with occasional visits to Carefrees Broomfield CO facility and other customer locations which require longer travel.
Compensation and Benefits
This position is salaried non-exempt; the salary range is anticipated to be from $2115.38 - $2692.31 bi-weekly.
