We are seeking a nurturing enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southall starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Early Years education and enjoys supporting children as they begin their formal learning journey.

As a Reception Teacher you will plan and deliver high-quality EYFS provision that combines structured learning with play-based experiences. You will create an engaging nurturing classroom environment that encourages independence social development and early academic skills. Building strong partnerships with parents and carers will be an important part of your role.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality EYFS lessons and activities
Create a safe nurturing and stimulating learning environment
Support childrens development across all areas of learning including literacy numeracy and personal development
Use observation and assessment to track progress and inform planning
Differentiate activities to meet the needs of all children including SEND and EAL
Promote positive behaviour routines and independence
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and Early Years colleagues
Build strong relationships with parents and carers through regular communication
Maintain accurate learning journals records and assessments
Contribute to EYFS planning moderation and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in EYFS ideally Reception
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
Be nurturing patient and enthusiastic
Have excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
Be creative reflective and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
