About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that help pupils develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5)
Planning and delivering engaging and practical lessons
Supporting pupils in understanding complex physical concepts
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress through regular assessments
Preparing pupils for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations
Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
Supporting intervention programmes to raise attainment
Participating in extracurricular STEM activities and science enrichment opportunities
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Physics
Be confident teaching across multiple key stages
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be passionate about science education and pupil achievement
Have the ability to motivate pupils of varying abilities
Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
