Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5)
Planning and delivering engaging lessons using a variety of artistic media
Supporting pupils in developing creative confidence and technical ability
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress through coursework and projects
Preparing pupils for GCSE and/or A-Level Art assessments
Supporting the organisation of exhibitions and displays of pupil work
Maintaining a safe and organised studio environment
Contributing to curriculum development within the Art department
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Art and Design
Be confident delivering practical lessons across different media
Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
Be organised and able to manage materials and resources effectively
Have the ability to inspire creativity and confidence in pupils
Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
