Job Summary
Subject to formal establishment amendment a vacancy may arise for a Chf Tech (Gen Tech E Gen Tech M or Gen Tech WS) to serve as the SNCO Gen Tech Training at 611 Sqn RAuxAF RAF Woodvale/Aintree Barracks on Full Time Reserve Service(LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date being not before 1st June 2026 (or later subject to candidate status and formal establishment).
The post holders duties will include:
Delivery and provisioning of Ph3 training to TG5 Engineering Ground professionals IAW DT supported or approved familiarisation courses.
Mechanical supervisor and SME responsible for the management of all 611 Sqn TG5 professionals and lieu of Flt Sgt Eng Flt co-ordinate all 611 Sqn TG5 work activities ensuring close liaison with RAF Leeming engineering teams as the parent unit and overall authority for engineering activity.
Ensure 611 Sqn Eng Flt engineering documentation for all trade familiarisation pre-deployment and local training are correctly maintained.
As DSQAC 611 Sqn ensure all TG5 personnel adhere to QA standards and procedures IAW individual Trade policies AP100C-10 and ULQM.
Update and maintain 611 Sqn Eng Flt personnel Engineering Authorisations on the DefSTARS database.
Manage the workshop at Aintree Barracks to ensure all H&S elements are adhered to and the facility is provisioned correctly to operate and deliver all TG5 output and any other Phase 3 training activity.
Manage the generation of TG5 reservist working parties to deliver output or training activity at units across the MOD. The post holder may need to be willing to act as a member of the working parties as well as co-ordinating them.
In liaison with the A4 RCC TG5 Coord acting as a coord for TG5 reservists on 611 Sqn and other 2 Gp GSS in managing support to output and training.
