Job Summary
A vacancy has arisen for a Cpl Gunner to serve as an Instructor at RAF Wittering FP on Full Time Reserve Service (Home Commitment)Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 29 July 2026.
As JNCO FP Trg Flt you are responsible to the Stn Cdr through OC FPTF for the instruction of Service personnel providing Modular 1-3 trg and testing Individual Pre- Deployment Trg (IPDT) Station Security Force (SSF) trg weapon conversion courses and specialist Force Protection advice for RAF Wittering its lodger units and G-Parented units.
Specifically responsible for:
- Delivery of IRT Module 1 2 & 3 trg iaw the RAF IRT policy to all RAF Wittering and G-Parented personnel.
- Delivery of Station Security Force (SSF) training iaw the CAS arming and guarding directive.
- Delivery of weapon training and weapon handling tests for all current in service weapon systems iaw relevant Publications.
- Responsible for producing Range/Exercise Action and Safety Plans and conducting of LFMT iaw Pamphlet 21 and the Operational Shooting Policy.
- Responsible for producing all course documentation record keeping for JPA administration.
- Responsible for the safeguarding of all small arms and ammunition drawn from the Armoury for use during training.
- Responsible for carrying out associated and secondary duties as detailed.
- Responsible for completing all mandated RAF individual training requirements.
