Psychologist Learning Disabilities & Complex Care Dundee
Pulse is working with a specialist inpatient provider in Dundee to recruit an experienced Psychologist to support adults with learning disabilities autistic spectrum disorder and complex presentations. This is a parttime locum opportunity (3 days per week) within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team offering excellent clinical exposure and flexible working.
The role is due to start midMarch 2026 and will continue until a permanent appointment is made making it ideal if youre looking for stability without longterm commitment. Attractive rates are available and the service is based in Dundee.
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Provide psychological assessment formulation and intervention for adults with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder
- Work with individuals presenting with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
- Contribute to care planning and risk management using evidencebased approaches
- Work collaboratively within a full MDT including psychiatry nursing and therapy colleagues
- Support positive behaviour support planning and traumainformed care
- Contribute to reports reviews and clinical discussions ensuring high standards of care
Youll have the autonomy to shape your clinical input while being fully supported by an experienced team around you.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential / Minimum:
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Experience working with learning disabilities
- Experience supporting individuals with complex presentations and/or autistic spectrum disorder
Desirable (but not essential):
- Inpatient or highdependency setting experience
- Experience with positive behaviour support or traumainformed approaches
