About the Opportunity

Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing financial services company dedicated to providing accessible and innovative credit solutions to businesses in Nigeria. They are a key player in the SME lending space empowering companies to achieve their growth objectives.

To drive their expansion they are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive. This role is central to the companys growth strategy focusing on identifying new market opportunities building a robust sales pipeline and fostering strong client relationships. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales professional with a passion for finance to join a high-performing team and make a direct contribution to the companys success. The role is based in Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify develop and manage new business opportunities in line with the companys strategic goals.
  • Generate leads and convert them into active clients for products such as LPO financing invoice discounting and asset financing.
  • Build and maintain strong long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients to foster business growth.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Credit and Risk to ensure a seamless and efficient service delivery process.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify expansion opportunities.
  • Consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Administration Finance or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of proven experience in a business development sales or relationship management role preferably within a financial institution or fintech.
  • A strong understanding of SME financial products and the lending lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  • A goal-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for results.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM software is an advantage.
  • Previous experience working in fintech start-up/scale-up environment would give you an added advantage.
