About this position:
Our Client is a leading industrial engineering solutions provider specializing in pumps fluid handling and rotating equipment for industrial applications. This role requires a technically sound commercially driven professional with strong field sales experience and the ability to provide technical consultation to customers across various industrial sectors including capital equipment for the food industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth in Nigeria through technical sales market development and customer relationship management while working closely with internal teams to deliver tailored engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Conduct regular customer visits to develop and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
- Assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions and products.
- Provide technical consultation product selection support and troubleshooting assistance.
- Monitor market trends customer needs and competitor activities to support sales strategy development.
- Participate in promotional activities exhibitions and industry events to enhance market presence.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals to customers.
- Maintain accurate CRM records sales forecasts and activity reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing delivery and fulfillment.
- Support after sales technical discussions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 35 years of field sales experience preferably in pumps fluid handling or rotating equipment.
- Strong understanding of pump types fluid dynamics and industrial applications.
- Experience serving industrial sectors including capital equipment related to the food industry is an advantage.
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to build strong rapport with customers and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Self-motivated results-driven and comfortable working in a target-oriented sales environment.
