Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the direction of the Manager Physician Compensation the Emory University School of Medicine Faculty and Physician Compensation Analyst manipulates data completes analyses calculates physician performance relative to defined objectives and benchmarks and calculates corresponding compensation.
  • The analyst develops and maintains databases dashboards and custom reports/queries. The analyst also builds relationships with external customers and liaises with HR staff to deliver consistent service.
  • Assists colleagues and other departments with ongoing support output data and reporting of faculty and physician performance and compensation.
  • Reviews market data reports and compiles market blended analysis for the determination of fair market based compensation and productivity.
  • Assist with the process of collection analysis and reporting of data specific to organization wide primary and specialty physician compensation including productivity.
  • Monitors all physician compensation programs for compliance will all pertinent regulations.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of new systems and databases relating to faculty and physician compensation.
  • Completes ad-hoc internal and external bench-marking surveys and analyses of faculty and physician performance and compensation.
  • Assists in the development implementation and administration of compensation model standards for employed faculty and physicians medical directors and recruited physicians.
  • Supports broader seasonal compensation department activities such as annual market pricing merit increases etc. as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively with persons at all levels including colleagues executives physicians administrators and staff regarding highly confidential and sensitive financial and personal information.
  • Knowledge of prevailing practices and regulatory developments in physician compensation.
  • Strong organizational analytical and problem solving skills; detail-oriented.
  • Possesses initiative and ability to work alone and within a close team environment.
  • Possesses quality integrity and customer service focused with the ability to handle simultaneous projects accurately and within deadlines.
  • Ability to develop financial models cost projections and develop/manage budgets associated with provider compensation.
  • Advanced MS Excel Access and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present information of a complex nature.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Human Resources or related field required.
  • Masters degree in Business Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Two (2) years work experience in accounting finance economics or other analytical functions.
  • Experience within the healthcare industry preferably hospital and/or medical group practice management highly desirable.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as neededand at times on short notice. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice toemployee.
