TITLE: RBT (Registered Behavior Technician)
SALARY: Per Contract
LOCATION: Brown Elementary School
HOURS: School Hours
REPORTS TO: Principal/Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the BACB
- Experience working with students with autism developmental disabilities and/or behavioral needs
- Prior experience in an autism behavioral support role is preferred
- Working knowledge of positive behavioral practices
- Experience with behavior management and implementation of behavior intervention plans
- Data collection experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of applicable education laws regulations and school-based practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers related service providers administrators and families
- Strong interpersonal communication organizational and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to supporting students academic and behavioral growth
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Registered Behavior Technician will:
- Provide behavior-analytic services under the direct supervision of a BCBA/RBT Supervisor in accordance with BACB standards
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans and support strategies
- Collect record and report behavioral and skill-based data on a daily basis
- Support students in academic settings including classrooms and related service environments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success through appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Promote skill acquisition independence and generalization across settings
- Assist the BCBA with behavioral programming and progress monitoring
- Create and maintain a safe structured and supportive learning environment
- Support instruction using evidence-based practices including RTI-aligned strategies when appropriate
- Monitor and supervise students using effective behavior and classroom management techniques
- Document student progress and communicate concerns with the appropriate school staff
- Maintain professional communication with students colleagues and families regarding student progress.
- Promote equity inclusion and appreciation of diversity including support for students with IEPs.
- Adhere to district policies professional standards and ethical practices
- Participate in professional development and required trainings
- Maintain RBT certification and engage in ongoing professional growth
- Crisis Prevention Institute Trained
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or Administrator of Special Education
