Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Job Description:

All Year Cooling and Plumbing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our accounting and finance operations by assisting with day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

The ideal candidate is organized accurate and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong communication with vendors customers and internal departments. This role is essential in ensuring timely invoice processing accurate financial records and efficient support of company financial goals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Reconcile vendor statements and investigate or resolve discrepancies promptly
Assist with preparing and issuing payments to vendors according to established schedules
Communicate professionally with vendors to address billing questions payment inquiries and account issues
Monitor and analyze company expenses to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Process accounts receivable transactions including posting payments and maintaining customer account accuracy
Generate and distribute customer invoices promptly and correctly
Maintain detailed and organized records of all accounts payable and receivable transactions
Support customer billing inquiries and provide timely resolution to account concerns
Monitor aging reports and assist with ensuring timely collections of outstanding balances
Participate in collection efforts including making follow-up calls on past-due accounts when needed
Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to support audits and other financial reporting activities

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail accuracy and strong organizational skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities when working with customers and vendors
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Previous experience in the HVAC or home services industry is a plus
Familiarity with ServiceTitan is a plus but not required
A college degree is not required for this position
