Job Description

RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
We are currently seeking a highly motivated organized and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team. Under the immediate supervision of the principal investigator the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the successful conduct and coordination of a large correctional study focused on sexually transmitted and bloodborne infections (STBBI) surveillance across Quebec provincial prisons. Travel throughout Quebec is required.

Acting as the direct link between the investigator the research team and external study sites
Overseeing the conduct of a large correctional study focused on the screening of STBBIs in Quebec provincial prisons
Uphold scientific integrity.

General Duties
Assisting with participant recruitment data collection and storing of study documents according to the research protocol
Ensure proper and efficient documentation and research organization in a timely manner
Assisting in the development of protocols consent forms questionnaires and other study documents
Assisting with ethic submissions and amendments
Assisting in the preparation and submission of abstracts and manuscripts
Performing other job-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor including support to other investigators and research coordinators.

Required Skills

Fluency in French and English spoken and written
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision
Strong sense of organization and high degree of efficiency
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel Power Point and Outlook)
Advanced programming skills in R or a similar program is an asset.

Additional information

Status: Temporary full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: $44408.00- $82427.80. Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
Work Site: 5252 Maisonneuve
