Pay Range

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Three years experience working in an optical shop.

LICENSURE CERTIFICATION and/or REGISTRATION:

Current CPR certification.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists customers with selection of frames and lens style. Takes measurements for seg height and pupil distance making necessary adjustments.

• Checks-in glass repair and adjustment orders.

• Maintains thorough understanding of types of glasses available brands new available features order to provide guidance to patients in making decisions.

• Answers phone retrieve sand files medical records notifies patients when contacts/glasses are ready.

• Performs routine maintenance i.e. repairs cleaning and adjustments on equipment.

• Receives payments and posts including running credit cards for approval.

• Checks patients in and out.

• Makes patient appointments using off site scheduling system.

• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good interpersonal and clerical skills

• Good math skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Combination of medical office and exam/procedure rooms

• Well-lighted well-ventilated and adequate space

• Frequent exposure to diseases medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment
