Job Description

Provides divisional leadership for establishing governing and continuously improving the customer project and portfolio management operating model across the Drug Substance Division. Focused on enabling predictable execution enterprise transparency and a differentiated customer experience through strong governance disciplined decision-making and cross-functional alignment. Operates in a highly matrixed environment providing functional leadership to site PPM organizations and influencing senior leaders across Operations Quality Finance and Commercial. Drives results with integrity fosters collaboration and champions continuous improvement at scale.

What will you do

  • Establish and improve a scalable division-wide PPM governance framework
  • Define and standardize methodologies tools metrics and performance expectations
  • Ensure consistent application of phase-gate governance risk management and change control
  • Lead executive portfolio and governance forums
  • Drive operational excellence by increasing portfolio visibility predictability and throughput
  • Provide enterprise-level insight into program health capacity risk and financial outlook
  • Partner with Finance Commercial and Operations leaders
  • Establish and lead the customer experience governance model
  • Own and manage above-site escalation pathways in partnership with commercial
  • Provide functional leadership and matrix oversight to site-level PPM leaders
  • Collaborate with PPM leaders across Pharma Services and Thermo Fisher
  • Lead with integrity inclusion and accountability

How will you get here

  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 12 years of experience in biopharmaceutical CDMO or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Experience designing and leading portfolio and governance operating models
  • Success leading matrixed multi-site organizations
  • Strong executive presence communication and influence skills
  • Financial and operational acumen across complex portfolios
  • Ability to travel 25% - domestic and international

Education

Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred

Requirements

Extensive leadership experience in PPM governance and customer operations

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree and experience in CDMO environments

Experience in one or more of the following areas desired

Biopharmaceutical operations governance frameworks and customer experience management

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $212000.00$282600.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on which includes:
