Job Summary
Role Focus:
- Business developer (hunter) with a passion for sports preferably a lifelong sports fan
- Work closely with D1 D2 and D3 universities and professional sports teams
- 100% onsite position; must be local to SVP
- Base salary: $55000/year with conversion to permanent and commission schedule after 3 months
Key Requirements:
- Strong understanding of sports budgets especially differences between D1 D2 and D3 schools
- High energy self-motivated and disciplined (fire in their belly)
- Experience with high-volume cold calling
- Familiarity with Salesforce (business development) and QuickBooks (quoting/enterprise actions) is a plus
- Able to develop proposals for $50K $300K in sales
- Comfortable engaging with VP and Director-level contacts
- Limited travel: occasional day trips to clients plus planning cold calls in the area
- Willingness to participate in approximately 4 trade shows per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive proposals for prospective customers
- Create targeted marketing and social media communications for colleges and universities
- Engage with existing customers including catalog accounts dealers franchises and digital print clients
- Travel nationally as needed to visit clients and confirm venue measurements
- Attend and participate in industry trade shows
