About the Role:

A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate (3 6 years) to join its Los Angeles office. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated high-stakes matters for insurance industry clients across the United States and internationally.

The associate will play a hands-on role in all stages of litigation including taking and defending depositions attending and arguing court hearings and drafting and arguing substantive motions. The role also involves analyzing complex insurance coverage issues and preparing coverage opinions relating to third-party property and general liability matters.

This position is well suited for a motivated litigator who enjoys responsibility client interaction and working on intellectually challenging matters within a highly respected practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle insurance coverage and related litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Take and defend depositions and actively participate in court proceedings
• Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions
• Analyze insurance policies and provide coverage opinions on third-party property and general liability claims
• Conduct high-level legal research and produce clear persuasive written work
• Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys while managing independent responsibilities

Qualifications:

• 3 6 years of relevant litigation experience
• Substantial experience taking depositions attending court hearings and drafting and arguing motions
• Prior experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Admission to the California Bar (required)

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $190000 $205000 representing the firms good-faith and reasonable estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on factors including relevant experience qualifications and location.
