Student Research Assistant / Research Assistant II in the Faculty of Law (to commence as soon as possible until end of August 2026)
Applicants should be knowledgeable in computer programming and data analysis with experience using Python and Jupyter Notebooks. Ideally applicants will have some experience in Natural Language Processing basic statistics and data visualization. An interest or training in computational social science and/or law and legal research would be additional strengths.
The appointee will assist in preparing course materials for a 1-week intensive course in the last week of August 2026 offered by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Legal Studies of the HKU Faculty of Law. The course will offer an introduction to computational research for legal researchers aimed at research post-graduate students and early career researchers. The appointee will also assist in event logistics of the course.
