Job Summary
Position Summary & Objective
The Mechanical Engineering Proposal Managers primary accountability is for the management of all mechanical engineering proposal deliverables.
Essential Functions Performed by the Position
- Commit to work under the companys core values that include: a One Team mindset open communication continuous improvement and a commitment to provide solutions to our customers
- Develop winning technical strategies for company proposals to include mechanical turbine design concepts
- Development of cost-effective custom equipment designs
- Ensure that the company is current with industry technology developments so that proposals are competitive
- Mitigate technical/commercial risk and communicate to upper management
- Provide mechanical engineering hours and schedule estimates
- Develop verify and maintain processes and software specifically related to mechanical engineering proposal deliverables
- Provide a monthly forecast for mechanical engineering proposal hours
- Represent the company at trade shows and on professional society committees and meetings
- Attend pre-bid site visits and meetings as required
Development Responsibilities
- Create custom new turbine designs that will allow us to compete directly with lower-cost manufacturers
- Support the Mechanical Engineering department in the development of competitive turbine design methods and technology

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science preferably in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- 10 years of turbine mechanical design experience
