Collins Aerospace a leader in aviation technology is offering an exciting opportunity for an Quality Inspector to join our fast-paced and innovative this critical role you will support our sustaining business for one of Collins key value streams: Advanced Lavatories and Cabin Integrations (ALCI). As a Quality Inspector you will be at the heart of our quality operations ensuring that production and quality procedures are meticulously followed to ensure 100% quality for Collins customers.
This is your chance to be part of a close-knit team of professionals where you will be responsible for conducting all Quality Inspection and coordination activities in a manner that conforms to company and H&S procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical and Cosmetic inspection
- Provide Quality control activities including new product introduction
- Provide inspection services for incoming goods returns and assembly
- Document non-conformances and report major quality issues to leadership
- First Article inspection
Required Skills:
- HS Diploma/GED 2 years relevant experience OR in lieu of degree
- 4 years of RELEVANT experience
- It is essential that the successful candidate have solid inspection experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
- Technically competent able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate effectively with a team.
- Attention to Detail: Capable of maintaining precision in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Strong Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication and numerical skills are essential.
- Familiarity with Quality disciplines including 8D reporting 5 Whys and the completion of corrective action reports. (also essential)
