Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality grooming services including bathing trimming and styling.
- Assess the condition of each dogs coat and skin to recommend appropriate grooming methods.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area to ensure a safe environment for pets.
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and advise them on pet care.
- Handle and restrain dogs safely and humanely during the grooming process.
- Keep detailed records of each dogs grooming history and any health-related observations.
- Stay up-to-date with grooming trends techniques and products.
- Ensure that tools and equipment are maintained and sanitized after each use.
- Assist with other pet care services as needed including nail trimming and ear cleaning.
- Provide excellent customer service to foster strong relationships with clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dog Groomer or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of different dog breeds and grooming techniques.
- A certificate in grooming or related fields is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle various breeds of dogs with patience and care.
- Physical stamina and mobility to handle pets effectively.
- Attention to detail and a passion for animal wellness.
- Basic first aid knowledge for pets is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
