Role Purpose
The Industrial Relations (IR) Head acts as a bridge between management and the workforce including employees supervisors and third-party employees to ensure stable fair and legally compliant labour practices foster good employee relations and support smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate and implement IR & HR policies for the plant
Develop and implement IR and HR policies and procedures in line with the Organizations
strategy and legal requirements.
.Manage labor relations: act as liaison between management and workers and between
management and workers representatives.
.Help management stay updated on labor law amendments union practices wage regulations etc. and advise on compliance / policy updates.
Handle grievances disciplinary issues disputes
Handle grievances disputes disciplinary actions investigate issues mediate and ensure fair
resolution in compliance with company policy and labor law.
Promote positive workplace culture employee engagement retention initiatives and healthy
employeremployee relations to minimize conflicts and disruptions.
Maintain records of industrial relations activities (negotiations grievances disciplinary actions
union meetings agreements) and prepare reports/analytics for management.
Industrial Relations Labour & Compliance
Oversee industrial relations union contracts wage negotiations dispute resolution and
management of grievances.
Ensure complete statutory compliance under labour employment laws health & safety POSH
contract labour environment etc.
