Dunnage Engineering is a mid-sized manufacturer of custom returnable containers and dunnage components primarily for the automotive industry. Since 1961 we have been a trusted supplier to OEMs and other companies within the supply chain throughout North America and some exporting worldwide.

Our manufacturing capabilities include injection molded thermoplastics lamination of vinyl coating to steel sheets forming and fabrication of steelpartsand assembly of components into returnable packaging products.
With 80-90 employees at our Brighton Michigan facilitywerestrategicallylocatedin the heart of the automotive industry just northwest of Detroit. This proximity allows us to work closely with our customers and respond quickly to their evolving packaging needs.

About the Role
The Manufacturing Operations Manager reports to the President and has four direct reports. This roleis responsible foroverseeing the dailymanufacturingoperationsthat have a high volume of short run projects ensuring that operationalobjectivesare met in alignment with company standards. The Manufacturing Operations Manager has overall accountability for all manufacturing departments as well asshipping and receiving.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide a team of department managers to ensure company goals are met.
- Assisttheteam with scheduling production orders and priorities.
- Coordinate teamwork between production departments.
- Conduct weekly production meetings with other departments to update status on current projects.
- Identifyingmachine and equipment needs.
- Working with the Safety Coordinator and Quality Manager to ensure all manufacturingrequirementsare met.

The ideal candidate for this position is amanufacturing leader who is comfortable with a high volume of short-run projects and apeople personwhothrivesonbuilding strong relationships with customers co-workers directreports and production employees.
