General Manager - Premium Steakhouse

About the Opportunity

Were seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our steakhouse. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences and building a strong team culture. We offer competitive compensation including base salary performance bonuses and equity participation in the business.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $80000 - $100000 (based on experience)
  • Performance-based bonus program

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations ensuring consistent quality service excellence and profitability
  • Maintain high standards for food quality presentation and kitchen operations
  • Ensure compliance with health safety and sanitation regulations
  • Manage inventory ordering and vendor relationships to optimize costs while maintaining quality

Financial Performance

  • Develop and manage budgets P&L statements and financial forecasts
  • Drive revenue growth through effective marketing promotions and guest experience initiatives
  • Control labor and food costs while maintaining service standards
  • Analyze sales data and adjust strategies to meet financial targets

Team Leadership

  • Recruit hire train and develop front-of-house and back-of-house staff
  • Create and maintain a positive professional work environment
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching
  • Build a culture of accountability teamwork and guest-first service

Guest Experience

  • Ensure every guest receives outstanding service and memorable dining experiences
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Build relationships with regular customers and the local community
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3-5 years of restaurant management experience preferably in upscale/casual dining or steakhouse concepts
  • Proven track record of financial management and achieving revenue targets
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of 20 employees
  • Knowledge of food safety alcohol service regulations and labor laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • Serv-Safe certification (or ability to obtain)

Preferred:

  • Experience with steakhouse or fine dining operations
  • Familiarity with the Springfield market and local dining scene
  • Background in wine and beverage programs
  • POS system proficiency
