Human Resources Job Responsibilities:
Maintains and enhances the companys human resources by planning implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies programs and practices.
Job Duties:
- Maintain employee staff by recruiting testing and interviewing candidates; conduct exit interviews
- Conduct orientation and training
- Process employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data
- Input employee time and attendance records
- Maintain employee benefits programs Insurance and Retirement
- Process Certified Payroll as required
- Implements human resource federal and state requirements
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge of human resources
- Maintain 401k contributions
Skills and Qualifications:
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
- 3 years of HR experience (construction or trades industry preferred)
- Selfdriven and able to take initiative without constant supervision
- Personable and approachable able to build rapport with field crews supervisors and leadership
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Skilled in conflict resolution and employee relations
- Comfortable working in a dynamic sometimes highpressure environment
- Ability to recruit for skilled trades laborers and project management roles
- Experience with workers compensation claims and returntowork programs
- Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements
