Job Summary
To:All Teaching and Administrative PersonnelBrockton Public SchoolsFrom:Dr. Kathleen Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSubject:Kindergarten ELL Screening at the SRPIC Dates:4:00-7:30pm on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays beginning April 16 2026 June 25 2026Location:School Registration and Parent Information Center 60 Crescent StreetThe Bilingual Department and the School Registration and Parent Information Center are looking for ESL teachers to assess incoming kindergarten students with the WIDA Screener on Tuesday and/or Thursday afternoons beginning on Thursday April 16th. Teachers will be scheduled each Tuesday and Thursday to administer the assessment discuss the results of the assessment with the parents/guardians make a program recommendation and complete the necessary documentation. Priority will be given to applicants who can commit for a minimum of one day a week for four weeks and a maximum of the entire spring : certified administering and scoring the WIDA Screener to commit to consecutive Tuesdays or Thursdays (one-month minimum commitment) to work collaboratively with to detailDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Orientation Session/certify as K WIDA Screener administrator if scheduled Tuesday or Thursday evening SRPIC WIDA Screener to entering Kindergarten WIDA Screener score results and program recommendations with parents and the ESL teacher of SRPICCOMPENSATION:According to ContractFund Code to be Charged:ELL Requirements
