We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientedHR Generalistto support our firms day-to-day human resources and payroll functions. This is a junior-level role focused on payroll administration employee support and maintaining accurate HR records. The ideal candidate is organized approachable and comfortable working behind the scenes to keep HR processes running smoothly.This position doesnotinvolve legal work.Key Responsibilities Payroll & Timekeeping Support (Primary Focus)- Assist with payroll processing and audits to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Track employee time PTO and leave balances
- Respond to employee payroll and timekeeping questions
- Maintain payroll-related records and documentation
Employee Support- Serve as a first point of contact for routine HR and payroll questions
- Provide courteous timely support to attorneys and staff
- Assist with employee communications and internal HR forms
- Assist with benefits open enrollment
- Assist with performance reviews
- Post job postings schedule interviews and conduct interviews along with Firm Administrator
Onboarding & Offboarding- Coordinate new hire onboarding including paperwork system access and orientation support
- Assist with employee offboarding tasks and documentation
- Maintain accurate employee personnel files (digital and physical)
Compliance & Recordkeeping- Assist with I-9 completion
- Maintain HR records in compliance with firm policies and applicable regulations
- Support updates to HR forms procedures and internal tracking tools
Administrative Support- Assist with benefits administration support
- Provide general administrative support related to HR initiatives and projects
Qualifications 24 years of HR administrative or payroll support experience preferred Strong customer service mindset and professional communication skills High level of discretion when handling confidential information Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS experience is a plus Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and communication skillsSalary Range: $50000 to $85000 per year based on experience.Benefits: Our comprehensive benefit package includes medical dental vision life disability Health Savings Account Flexible Spending Account accident critical illness and 401k with a safe harbor match.
