UCTis looking for a talentedFacilities Technician IIIto join us inPhoenix AZ!

The Facilities Technician III performs planned and unplanned maintenance while supporting chemical wastewater treatment operations to ensure safe reliable and compliant facility performance. This role applies electrical plumbing and mechanical skills to troubleshoot equipment rebuild pumps and maintain accurate records using maintenance software. The Technician III works effectively in hazardous or highâheat environments follows LOTO procedures and contributes to operational efficiency through strong criticalâthinking and organizational abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planned PMs 40%.
  • Unplanned Pms 20%.
  • Chemical Wastewater Treatment 40%.

Other Duties

  • Off-site travel such as Home Depot or a Machine Shop.
  • Chemical Wastewater Treatment.
  • Keeping track of the maintenance software Limble.
  • Make up small blueprints or drawings using a CAD software.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • 1-3 years of electrical experience.
  • 1-3 years of plumbing experience.
  • 1-3 years of working with a maintenance tracking software.
  • Must have critical thinking and organization skills.
  • Must be able to work in hot work areas or hazardous locations.
  • Must be able to use a computer and use programs such as Microsoft Word Outlook emailExcel spreadsheets.
  • Need to be familiar with LOTO process.
  • 1-2 years of any type of pump rebuilds or repairs.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • High School Diploma (Minimum)
  • 2-year degree (Preferred) in Electrical Machining Welding Plumbing HVAC
  • Any 1-year certificate for any trade programs (Preferred)

Work Experience Preferred:

  • 1-2 years in industrial maintenance
  • 1-2 years as an electrician
  • 1-2 years as a plumber
  • 1-2 years as a welder
  • 1-3 years as a machinist

  • Need to be able to handle and work around many different types of chemicals daily.
  • Need to be able to handle and work around hazardous materials such as arsenic and aluminum dust.
  • Need to be able to work in tight or confined spaces.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend directions.
  • Must be able to hear and speak to communicate with co-workers. Accommodations can be made for emergency alerts for any deaf employees.

Environmental Exposure:

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.

  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers faxes computers etc.
