Job Summary

Job Title: Production Helper III - US

Location: Raleigh NC 27615/Onsite

Shift Timings: 2nd shift: 3:30p-11:30pm: Shift is Monday-Friday may be on rotating weekend schedule

Note: Need to be Fully Cleared prior to start. Steel toe shoes required.

Summary of Job:

The Material Handler / Forklift Operator is responsible for staging orders for shipment receiving incoming materials and supplying production areas with necessary materials to maintain efficient operations. This role involves operating forklifts and material handling equipment managing inventory movement through RF scanners and systems and ensuring shipments are prepared and documented accurately according to company procedures and safety standards.

Must-have/Required skills:

Basic reading and writing skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously
Forklift operating experience
Ability to work overtime as required
Basic mathematical skills (addition subtraction multiplication division)
Ability to follow safety procedures and written instructions
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and teamwork skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

6 12 months of warehouse logistics or material handling experience
Forklift certification or license
Experience with RF scanners and barcode systems
Familiarity with inventory systems such as Radius
Knowledge of loading techniques and shipping documentation

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Material Handling & Production Support
- Supply production departments with materials required to maintain production flow
- Stage trays cages pallets cartons and other materials for storage or production areas
- Proactively identify material needs across work areas
Forklift & Equipment Operation
- Operate forklift trucks and hand lift trucks to transport materials
- Move and stage cut material folded material skids dollies and pallets
- Follow all FLT safety rules and equipment checklists
Receiving & Inventory Management
- Receive incoming shipments and inspect materials for damage
- Reject damaged items and report discrepancies
- Record receiving inventory and work-in-progress (WIP) movement in the Radius system
- Use RF scanners to track and document material movement
Shipping & Order Preparation
- Perform banding stretch wrapping and packaging of materials for shipment
- Prepare shipments according to job jacket instructions and customer packing specifications
- Ensure proper documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (CofA) and Bills of Lading (BOL) are accurate
- Properly label shipments and load trucks safely
Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with truck drivers for outbound shipments
- Ensure all shipping paperwork and required samples are included with shipments
- Act as a final check for documentation accuracy
Workplace Safety & Cleanliness
- Maintain clean work areas and shared spaces
- Empty waste containers and properly separate recyclable and waste materials
- Follow all federal state local and company safety policies

Qualifications:

6 12 months of related experience in warehouse or material handling preferred
Ability to read and interpret safety rules operating instructions and procedures
Must be able to pass Line Clearance Test and Ruler Test
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or ability to pass mechanical assessment
Ability to maintain good attendance and work overtime during busy periods
