Job Summary

Job Title: Coating Utility III

Location: Fairport NY 14450/Onsite

Shift Timings: Hours of Work: B Shift (2:00 PM 10:30 PM)

Contract: 6 months with the possibility of extension based on business need. Interview Process: Phone Screen with Direct Manager. ITAR Compliant Required - Candidates must be compliant with ITAR requirements and be US Citizen or nationals.

Summary of Job:

The Production Support Technician assists production operations by supporting machine setup and teardown material handling logistics sanitation and administrative tasks. This role helps ensure smooth production workflows while maintaining a clean safe and compliant work environment. The position also supports documentation quality checks and training of team members while following manufacturing procedures and safety standards.

Must-have/Required skills:

High School Diploma or GED
1 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Experience supporting machine setup and teardown procedures
Ability to follow work instructions and process checklists
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to enter data into production or inventory systems
Basic material handling and logistics support skills
Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to perform visual quality inspections

Nice-to-have Skills:

Experience working in a cleanroom environment
Experience with sandblasting equipment
Knowledge of ISO GMP or similar manufacturing compliance standards
Experience with inventory cycle counts or audits
Familiarity with production dashboards or status boards
Experience assisting with training new employees

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Core Production Support
- Assist with material handling including moving raw materials staging components and replenishing supplies
- Prepare machines or workstations by performing basic setup cleaning and material loading
- Support production flow by ensuring tools parts and materials are available when needed
Administrative & Documentation
- Enter work orders inventory transactions and production data into systems
- Maintain accurate production logs and compliance documentation
- Update status boards or digital dashboards as required
Logistics
- Move finished goods and components between workstations or departments
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams for material transfers
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits
Sanitation & Safety
- Perform routine cleaning of equipment and work areas
- Dispose of waste and hazardous materials properly when trained
- Follow PPE requirements and cleanroom protocols
- Report safety hazards or equipment issues
Quality & Compliance
- Perform basic visual inspections to detect defects or contamination
- Ensure materials meet labeling and cleanliness standards
- Support compliance with ISO GMP or other regulatory standards
Training & Team Support
- Shadow experienced operators to learn standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Assist in training new employees on safety and basic production tasks
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Additional Duties
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Support special projects or urgent operational tasks when required
Working Conditions
- Work performed in a cleanroom environment
- Required PPE including safety shoes safety glasses gloves and cleanroom garments
- Use of hand tools such as allen keys screwdrivers wrenches and sandblasting equipment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with assistance
- Overtime may be required depending on production needs
