The Opportunity That Awaits You:

The Senior Project Manager in the Research and Development Department is the glue between the cross functional teams that drives projects from start to finish. This role is an integral part of the PROCEPT R&D team and the face of the program for the business. The project manager is responsible for developing managing and ensuring that the program schedule and CFT deliverables are hit with the quality that PROCEPT stands for. They are involved in all aspects of the project from initial planning to technical reviews to status updates and schedule mitigation planning. The Project Manager role oversees all initiatives going on for the program and is responsible for driving cross-functional alignment on deliverables ensuring compliance activities are performed managing risks defining project scopes objectives and timelines and aligning resource allocation to meet needs.

This is not a schedule jockey the Project Manager is expected to use their own technical expertise and judgement to help set plans flag / resolve misalignment identify trade-offs when necessary and ensure a quality deliverable is made on time.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record working as part of / with cross functional teams including development operations regulatory quality and commercial. They have a hands on personality to learn get involved and support the program where needed. Previous experience as an engineer with cross-functional experience will enable this project manager to be successful with planning and working with the teams. Key skills include strong communication cross-functional collaboration attention to detail and willingness to dive in ability to extrapolate ability to juggle many tasks at any point in time without dropping any one of them. The successful candidate will be one who provides great value to the teams while ensuring their successful alignment with the broader company.

What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:

Drive cross-functional alignment across cross functional You will do this by extreme communication experience doing the deliverables and having a clear eye on the prize high quality on schedule product. Keep people focused identify and knock down blockers ensure alignment propose trade-offs.
Keep multiple independent and dependent projects on track ensuring priorities are clearly set and next steps are clearly communicated.
Use your technical clinical and/or product knowledge to pressure-test proposals requirements and specifications acting as a critical reviewer and a sanity checker. Work with various teams to define requirements.
Identify and manage project and technical risks dependencies and mitigation strategies.
Ensure design controls & quality processes are followed and appropriate documentation is available at the right time. Proactively create and/or drive documentation ahead of deadlines.
Organize & lead meetings to accomplish the above while communicating to keep people aligned and on schedule.
Actively seek out and propose ways to improve how PROCEPT works ask Why and Why not whenever possible.

The Qualifications We Need You to Possess

Proven experience managing complex programs developing program schedules identifying areas or risk and areas of buffer. Comfortable pressure testing team members and leveraging engineering experience to optimize how things are completed.
Extensive collaboration communication & organizational skills across extended teams. Experience preparing and giving executive summaries / reports
Familiarity/experience working in a regulated domain. Prefer experience in medical device industry including familiarity with IEC 62304 ISO 13485 FDA device regulations & QSR MD-SAP IEC.
Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment adapt to changing conditions and create clarity out of chaos.

The Qualifications We Would Like You to Possess

Previous engineering experience (mechanical electrical systems) to enable hands on support understanding of the tasks/deliverables and sanity check level of effort.
Project management certification
5 years as a project manager

For this role the anticipated base pay range is per year.

Plus eligibility for an annual bonus and equity/RSUs

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY

Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role represents a base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to job-related skills depth of experience relevant certifications and training and specific work location. Based on the factors above Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus equity and the benefits listed above.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Well provide you training for and ask you to maintain trained status for and comply with all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance.
