Scope of Project

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) is seeking an experienced Project Manager Project Lead to support and manage enterprise-level IT initiatives within the agency. The selected consultant will work under the direction of the Director of IT Operations and collaborate closely with the agencys Project Management Office (PMO).

The role is responsible for planning coordinating executing and monitoring multiple IT projects that support SCDMVs strategic technology initiatives. The consultant will manage project scope schedules budgets resources risks and deliverables while ensuring alignment with agency standards and methodologies.

SCDMVs IT portfolio includes numerous short-term and long-term initiatives supporting the modernization and enhancement of agency technology services. This position will play a critical role in ensuring these projects are executed successfully while maintaining transparency with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned IT projects from initiation through completion ensuring successful delivery of project objectives.
Coordinate project timelines milestones deliverables and resources across multiple stakeholders.
Develop and maintain project charters schedules budgets risk registers and status reports.
Establish project meeting cadence and facilitate project meetings with stakeholders.
Track project progress risks and issues while maintaining accountability for deliverables.
Provide project status updates and reports to leadership and project stakeholders.
Maintain documentation including project plans meeting notes lessons learned and final project artifacts.
Coordinate project activities with the SCDMV PMO and internal IT teams.
Maintain and update the master IT project list for the agency.
Prepare project presentations and supporting documentation for executive leadership and steering committees.
Support the development and standardization of IT project management methodologies and processes within the agency.
Collaborate with internal teams vendors and government partners to ensure successful project outcomes.

Required/Preferred Skills

Required Skills

5 years of Project Management experience
3 years of experience managing Enterprise-Level IT projects
3 years of project budgeting experience

Preferred Skills

Experience managing system modernization initiatives
Experience working with State government agencies
Experience collaborating with external vendors
Experience with ServiceNow
Active PMP Certification (Preferred)
