Field Sales Executive for a decorative panels brand is the primary link between the company and the external market. Unlike the showroom in-charge who manages walk-ins the field person is "on the go" actively creating demand by visiting construction sites architectural firms and retail dealers.
Key Field Responsibilities
Influencer Management: Identifies and meets with architects interior designers and contractors to get the brands panels (laminates PVC veneers) specified in their project Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
Channel Development: Visits retail dealers and distributors daily to ensure product catalogs are displayed stock is replenished and new sub-dealers are on boarded.
Site Inspections & Demos: Conducts on-site technical demonstrations to show how the panels are installed and their durability.
Market Intelligence: Performs regular "area audits" to track competitor pricing new product launches and emerging design trends.
Lead Generation & Conversion: Identifies new residential or commercial projects in the assigned territory and follows the sales cycle from the first inquiry to final payment collection.
Essential Field Skills
High Mobility: Must possess a valid driving license and a two-wheeler as the role involves visiting 610 sites or clients per day.
Relationship Building: Ability to establish quick rapport with strangers ranging from high-profile architects to site supervisors.
Technical Sales Knowledge: Deep understanding of material properties (e.g. MDF ACP Louvers) to answer technical queries on-site.
Digital Reporting: Proficiency in using mobile CRM tools to log daily visits mark attendance via Geolocation and submit real-time sales reports.
Requirements
Experience: required 14 years in field sales specifically within building materials furniture or interior decor
Education: A high school diploma or Bachelors degree (Business or Marketing preferred).
Schedule: Highly flexible; often requires working outside standard office hours to meet client availability
