As a Med Surg RN youll own a broad spectrum of responsibilities that build your leadership clinical judgment and discharge planning skills. Youll assess patient stability and evolving needs administer medications and infusions manage IV therapies monitor post-surgical and medical patients and implement wound care and infection control best practices. Youll coordinate care with physicians therapists and social work to ensure smooth transitions from acute care to home or a higher level of support. Documentation patient education and family communication will be integral as will participation in rounds and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
